Creating Our Future
Our strategic plan is a roadmap that guides our organization towards achieving our goals.
Strategic Plan Overview
Our Strategic Plan is dedicated to advancing the wellbeing of our members, protecting patient privacy, and fostering partnerships that drive community health and innovation. Through advocacy, engagement, and collaboration, we are committed to making a lasting impact on healthcare in Colorado.
Our Top Priorities
Advocacy
NCMS President Dr. Sean Pauzauskie worked with NCMS, CMS, the Neurorights Foundation, and legislators to pass HB24-1058 to protect the privacy of biological data. Colorado was the first state to pass this type of legislation which has built momentum and a national movement. This resulted in NCMS winning a Profile in Excellence Award for Advocacy at the 2024 American Association of Medical Executives conference. Membership Engagement
After the pandemic, the wellbeing of our physicians showed a steep decline. Our goal is to engage our members in networking opportunities, educational seminars, and advocacy efforts through an increased social media presence and informative publications including The Voice quarterly newsletter. Members are frequently listening to the StethoScope Podcast which reached almost 1,400 downloads. We have increased our membership engagement over the past few years by providing unique events and social groups like the NCMS Physicians’ Book Club. This resulted in NCMS winning a Profile in Excellence Award for Membership Engagement at the 2023 American Association of Medical Executives conference. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date on upcoming events.
Partnerships
To address community health, wellness, and education, we’ve been partnering with local community organizations to concentrate on relevant issues with urgency. Our projects have focused on environmental safety issues, behavioral health issues, and technological advancements including artificial intelligence in healthcare. Some of our major partnerships include the FBI Behavioral Task Force, the Larimer County Disaster Relief Committee on Behavioral Health, and the Northern Colorado Health Sector Partnership. We have completed STEM projects with the Poudre School District, Thompson School District, and medical students at CSU. We also focus on patient care by building relationships with Dementia Together, the UC Health Aspen Club, and the American Medical Association to address federal issues like Medicare reform. We must take this opportunity to thank our sponsors as they’re the most important partnership because they make all our efforts possible. To see our 2024 sponsors, click here.
