NCMS Physicians' Book Club Meeting

We're happy to announce our next book club meeting will be on Thursday, October 24th 6pm to 8pm.  Please confirm your attendance by registering to our email list and we'll send you the location accordingly.  NCMS President Dr. Sean Pauzauskie will be hosting the meeting. Drinks and light appetizers will be provided.

We’ll be discussing Klara and the Sun which is the eighth novel by the British writer Kazuo Ishiguro, published in 2021. It's a dystopian science fiction story. Set in the U.S. in an unspecified future, the book is told from the point of view of Klara, a solar-powered AF (Artificial Friend), who is chosen by Josie, a sickly child, to be her companion. The novel was longlisted for the 2021 Booker Prize. The book is currently available on Amazon. You can read the full summary here.
